Honeymoon

Coming home: Family life, ready or not, here we come!
Our backyard came equipped with a campfire that we took advantage of...good 'ol roasted hot dogs!

Hmmm....which Florence did we go to?

I, on the other hand, stayed safely on the shore as bundled up as possible. This is our amazing sand castle that we built and then watched it get destroyed, little by little, as the tide rolled in.

Matt was the only one brave enough to attempt the ocean. But, as you can tell from his face, he couldn't hide the fact that the chill was a bit shocking!

We made a stop, well actually two by the week's end to Mo's (famous for its clam chowder). We took this photo just for Denice!
On our day to explore the sand dunes, we brought lunch and were lucky enough to find a tree spot that actually had a good-size oasis. We crawled up into the tree thicket and enjoyed lunch while watching people on doon buggies and such roaming around.
Our sneak peek at the famous sand dunes. The sand goes on for miles. It's a complete irony because there are patches of huge green trees enmeshed in the desert look.

Our lovely beach house 2 blocks from the coast. It was the perfect size and so much fun to have our own little house!

Matt and I flew into the Portland Airport, and then drove down the Oregon Coast. Our first order of the day was to stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Unfortunately it was a Saturday, and we were unable to see all the workers doing their stuff.

It looks like you guys had a blast, Amber! Would it sound bad if I said we wished we could come? ;) Seriously, you made me want to go to Oregon sometime.
Glad you're doing this blog. It will be fun to watch you and your family.
