Cheese!! Calvin took the liberty of smashing his mouth into the cake as soon as we finished singing "Happy Birthday." 
Look at that cake! When we first moved into our apartment complex, all Calvin wanted to do was go swimming. So I thought it was appropriate. A month ago I had shown him a picture of it, to see if it was something he would like. The day before his birthday he spotted me making the jello, and asked if it was for his special cake. He has quite the memory!
In the evening we had grandparents over for cake and ice cream.
Faye loves to climb up on everything!
We spent the morning up at Bountiful Lake on our raft fishing.This was a fun day for all of us--the first birthday to celebrate together as a family. The night before Matt and I decorated the living area with streamers and balloons (a tradition that I have known since I was a little girl). I think Calvin felt very special knowing all of it was for him!
