My Birthday

I had a really great birthday weekend! The weather even cooperated which was a nice surprise. Saturday, after breakfast, we headed to the park and played some tennis. My mom and I played for a bit while the kids played on the playground and Matt shot some baskets with them. Then we switched, and Matt and I played a set. I beat him 6-2. He said that if we play more regularly that in a few months he could start beating me. So I'm hoping that will provide some motivation to playing more! I had so much fun. My serving is usually what takes the longest to find my groove, but this time my first serves were fabulous. I really think playing volleyball every week with the ladies in my ward is contributing...just that weekly practice of throwing up the ball to serve.

It was nice to have my mom here on Sunday because she was able to come to come to Young Women's with me and be there for my first time teaching. I had requested an angel's food cake, so my mom gave me a pan to be able to make it in!

Birthday roses from my dad

Love the look they are sharing

Monday morning we headed to the park and played tennis again! And then we tried out the trail which had some fun play areas along it.

That evening we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
This picture makes me laugh.
