For our 3rd anniversary Matt planned a 2 night camping trip for the two of us. It was so NICE to spend time together as a couple. We went to Lake Harriet up in the Mt. Hood National Forest. We spent a lot of time out on the lake in the canoe paddling around and fishing. Matt caught a trout that he cooked up with spices and bacon and couldn't stop raving how good it was. We made lots of yummy food like hash browns, eggs, and bacon for breakfast one morning and tin foil dinners, and we even tried smores with Reese's peanut butter cups instead of Hershey's chocolate (sooo yummy!). We played cards, sat around the campfire, and even slept in! Matt's mom was able to come down and stay with the kids, so that was wonderful. This was the first time to leave Lucas overnight, so I am really glad everything went so well.
