The last of the 20's

My birthday was on Sunday this year which was nice because we were able to spend it at home and didn't have to worry about any major activities. We were able to just enjoy being together.

A flower basket my dad sent me.

Here are the cool people I hang out with every day waiting for me to start opening up presents.

Normally I have a hard time giving suggestions for gifts. But this year with the excitement of our garden and my desire to build our food storage, I had the idea of canning supplies. Matt prepared me with all I would need to start my canning experience. Inside the kettle I found a card from Matt (that was very sweet, funny, and I dare say made me cry).

Here's my little man: loving the wrapping paper and giving me very serious looks as he was watching me open up my presents.

Faye took this picture of us. We were very impressed.

With all my goodies

Looks like a picture on the stairs is becoming a tradition.

We ended the day with angel food cake topped with whipped cream and blackberries.

A big thank you to my family for making it a very special day!

Grandma Wright must be so pleased with your choice of gifts. She's my inspiration for canning. :)
