6 Months on the 6th

I was trying to think of a word that described Lucas,

and the word "delight" came to mind.

He is such a sweetie, and I feel like all I can do is just soak up his goodness.

Right now some of my favorite things about Lucas are:

I love how he will wrap his arms around my face or neck

and nestle his face into mine when he is ready to go to sleep.

We love the dinosaur squeals he makes when he is talking or laughing.

I love how he will stare into my eyes and smile or coo.

I love it when he shakes his head back and forth when you ask him a question.

It's wonderful to watch Calvin and Faye play with him and get excited to be around him.

We had fun playing with this baseball hat.

Afterwards Lucas would get a big smile on his face when I put it back on him.

Lucas loves to stand up.

That is something he has liked to do since he was a newborn.

We are practicing sitting up more and more.

Already so studious... :)

Lucas loves to play with his feet.

The weird thing is he only does it when he's not wearing any pants.

It has been a lot of fun to start solid foods with Lucas. So far he has liked everything he has tried. I wasn't so sure how he was going to react to the green veggies, like peas and beans, but he ate them right up. His favorites, I would have to say, are squash and peaches. Lucas knows when you are getting his food ready because he gets extra wiggly and starts making grunting sounds. You can tell when he is really hungry when he opens his mouth wide and bounces his head forward.

And speaking of our favorite dinosaur squeals...
