I finally put the finishing touches on Austin's nursery in August. I figured after 8 months it was about time! And the rate we switch rooms around, I wanted him to be able to enjoy it for awhile. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I based the color scheme of blue and green on the five different fabrics I found with some pops of yellow.
I had wanted to make a cross stitch of Austin's baby stats, but none of the patterns at the store appealed to me and making one from scratch seemed too much at the time, so I opted to make a subway art on canvas instead. I found the love quote online. The picture of him was taken at the hospital and worked perfectly with a yellow frame I already had. I especially love the duck cross stitch. It goes well with the colors and holds a great deal of sentimental value since it was the first cross stitch I ever made. It hung for many years in my grandparents' home, and since Austin bears my grandpa's name as his middle, it's perfect!

Good work Amber! It looks great!
So cute! I really need to do something more for Sophie's room. I am especially wishing I had a nice chair like the one in his room. Someday. :) It was so fun to spend time with you guys in Oregon. Hope things are going well for all of you!
