First Days of School

Calvin started 1st grade this year. He has a great teacher and transitioned well to being at school all day.

The rest of us have transitioned well to early mornings. :)

A week later Faye had her first day of preschool. She was so excited. She has the same teacher that Calvin did. (Luckily I noticed the juice stain above her mouth before we got to school.) She goes three days a week, and she has been thriving. She loves to do her homework, and she has caught the "word bug" and is trying to write new words and figure out what spells what.

A successful first day!

It was cute...we were walking to pick up Calvin from school, Faye was talking about how tomorrow she would be going to preschool. She said that then only Mommy and the baby will be at home, and then said, "Won't that be sad?" I just smiled.

We do miss her, but errands with one child has been so nice! I'm grateful for the chance Lucas and I have to spend some one-on-one time before the new baby comes.
