When Calvin had his 4 year old checkup, his vision test produced quite the interesting results. His right eye basically failed in seeing the pictures.
So last week we had an appointment with the eye doctor, and the verdict is: glasses!
Calvin is far sighted and has unequal focus, more so in the right eye.
The development in his brain has basically shut down for the right eye because the left one has been taking over. So glasses will help get that part of the brain developing again, and wearing any eye patch a couple of hours a day will strengthen his right eye.
The hope is that eventually he will only have to wear a contact in his right eye.
Until then, keep your fingers crossed that the glasses will stay in one piece!
