You don't realize what you've been missing until you have it back. . . sunshine! warmth! We spent an hour outside at the playground today, and it was just really nice to be outside again.
No jackets . . . I even got my flip flops out.
The kids had a lot of fun, and I had a lot of fun watching them. It's amazing to see the difference in them from last summer. Faye was so leery then of the sand, always needed to hold a hand as she went down the small slide. Now she goes up and down the stairs all by herself, and doesn't even pay attention to the small slides. It's all about the biggest slides now, and she goes down all by herself! Calvin is still all over the place. . . his interests now seem focused on finding sticks, going up the ladder, and piling up sand.
I'm so excited for spring, the variety it will bring to us. . . I really look forward to the day we have our own backyard!
