Half of our patio slopes toward the house. When it rains, the water runs toward the house. So replacing the concrete has been on our to-do list for a long time.

The man who did the work is in our ward, and he really made it a fun learning experience for the kids.

Day 4 was the big day! The kids were eating breakfast when the cement truck came. Lucas about died with excitement when he saw it back into our driveway. I couldn't get him down from his chair fast enough!

It's all done! Since we were going through the whole process anyway, we decided to extend our patio an extra four feet. We've been enjoying the added room to BBQ and eat dinner outside.
