When all the Valentine stuff started coming out in the stores, Faye and I were talking about how Valentine's day would be coming up the next month. She said that's when she gets hearts on her door. I'm so glad she said something because I had totally forgotten that we had heart attacked their doors last year. It pleased me that she had remembered. I think this will be a fun tradition to keep up. Matt and I had fun cutting them out the day before.
On Valentine morning we knocked on their doors before Matt went to work. Calvin came right out, but it took 3 times knocking and then announcing a "special mail delivery" before Faye would open up her and Lucas' door.
We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast.
We had a special candlelight dinner. The kids thought it was very cool to be eating in the dark. And then we ended the night with heart shaped rice krispy treats while watching a Charlie Brown Valentine for part of Family Home Evening. It was fun for me to plan everything and have fun with the day.
