This is a couple of posts early, but I was excited to share. We were out of town for New Year's weekend. When Matt went out to clean the chicken coop Monday morning, this is what he found...
We felt like kids on Christmas morning; we were so giddy with excitement.
We haven't been able to know for sure who was laying, until this morning when I went to check and found Ginger in the nesting box. We are so proud of her! It's funny...now when I look at her, she seems more mature and grown up.
We are kind of attached to our chickens, if you haven't been able to tell. :)
We now have a total of 4 eggs. Each day they get a little bigger.

We were so excited for our first egg, too. We photo's of ourselves similar to our new baby family photos. ;-)
