We drove to Utah. Matt had another work conference, and we decided to make it into a family trip. The drive down was long and felt longer because Lucas didn't sleep much. We spent Saturday evening with Matt's brother and family in Ogden and went to church with them. It was fun that it was their Primary program at church since we were missing ours. We then headed out to Grantsville where we dropped Calvin and Faye off to spend a few days with their grandparents.
I had fun seeing my two previous roommates who now both have babies. We remembered to take a picture after Ashley had already left, so this is Krystal with her baby girl. Krystal works at an LDS Family Services agency (which is where we met to visit), and I was able to see a couple of the women I used to work with at the Sandy agency. I felt some nostalgia from my working days.

Lucas spending some time with Uncle Mike.
Lucas and I went swimming at the hotel pool. This was the second time he has been in a pool. He loved it!
Salt Lake got a little bit of snow while we were there, so we chalked that up to another "first" for Lucas.
Me and my mom
We explored Temple Square with all of the kids. We enjoyed watching the little videos in the visitor's center. They really enjoyed listening to other children share their feelings about Heavenly Father and Jesus.
There must be something about the carpet at my mom's house because Lucas loved having tummy time there. He was so content moving around on the floor.
It was a good week and a nice break from routine. The drive back was actually pleasant. We made excellent time, had great driving weather, and the kids were great.
