Temple Square Lights

There is something about the Salt Lake Temple that fills me with joy.  Growing up, our family vacations would consist of making a trip to Salt Lake.  Each summer
we would always come to Temple Square, walk around the grounds, watch the Legacy movie, and stop for ice cream after with my grandparents.  This was the first temple I had such close, continual contact with.  I remember feeling such a connection and knowing that someday I would be able to go inside.

Last weekend Matt and I went downtown to see the lights.  It seemed like they had added quite a few things east of the temple, and it was fun to experience it all.

Approaching the temple

A statue of Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus in the middle of the reflection pool.

It was extremely chilly!

These were new for me...they had bags with different words in different languages poked into them and also other lighted canisters depicting different scenes.

Those are great pictures...I love the one of the statue of Mary and Joseph. I need to get down there and see it all before Christmas!
