Halloween Costumes

I really enjoyed Halloween this year.  I have been anticipating it for a long time with the kids. Calvin picked out what he wanted to be, and we picked up little things here and there to put them all together.  He was reallly excited.  I was proud of myself because his "fire" pants and Faye's "star" pants were my first attempts at sewing clothing.

Our ward had a Halloween carnival for the kids, so it was nice to have a trial run.
Calvin was an awesome monster!  We especially loved the makeup part...added the perfect finsih to the costume.

Faye did much better Halloween night (or maybe she was just jealous, and SHE wanted to be the monster!)

Calvin loved the monster finger he won at one of the games at the carnival...it was a perfect fit!

Getting ready for trick-or-treating!

Up close and personal:
Matt's costume turned out great; a good thing since he's been waiting forever for it to happen.  I wasn't anything in particular.  I just loved my purple and black striped tights and funky long blue eye lashes!

Family Costumes: Daddy=Darth Vader
Mommy=Silly person
Calvin=Monster
Faye=Angel

I loved going trick-or-treating as a family and the whole dressing up.  It brought back a lot of fond childhood memories.  I love the idea of creating memories and traditions that we will be able to remember and look forward to.

I love the costumes! You guys all look so cute. I love trick or treating with the kids too. That's so fun Matt will dress up. Matthew never will.

Star Wars meets Cat in the Hat! Very cute costumes. Calvin looks like he's really getting into the role.

Yahoo! Matthew finally got to be Darth Vader! Amber, you are the cutest mom (and woman, of course.) Your sewing projects seem to have turned out really well. You are such a cute family, it makes my heart happy just to look at you! I loved the pumpkin carving and other pictures, too! Love You All.
